OPERFECT™ Ice & water shield, also referred to as "peel & stick", is a waterproof roof underlayment membrane developed to protect vulnerable are as on a roof from ice and water damage.
Ice & water shield (sometimes called ice & snow shields in cold climates) are made with polymer-modified bitumen. The adhesive back surface of the membrane will bond to the roof deck, which is a superior underlayment for areas where ice dams or severe storms are common.
OPERFECT roofing underlayment with its advanced engineering is highly recommended for Self Adhered Peel & Stick, coated woven synthetic roofing underlayment for sloped roofs. It can replace the traditional asphalt based Sand and Granular Peel & Stick Underlayments.
The adhesive layer is made from the advanced SBS Modified Bitumen based adhesive which performs extremely well in high as well as low temperatures and gives excellent adhesion to the primary roofing surface whether it is plywood or metal.
